VAWZ TRUST is up and running and a committee comprising several veterinarians and other Animal Health workers has been elected by veterinarians attending a meeting on 3rd March 2010. ( See pictiure of committee members standing next to the vehicle). Since then 2 committee meetings have been held on 22nd March 2010 and 8th April 2010 respectively.

SPANA UK ( Society for Protection of Animals Abroad ) have very generously donated a  Mazda eagle twin cab 4X4 vehicle for Meryl Harrison to utilise to get around the country to carry out the work of VAWZ. Thank you very much to SPANA for this vehicle to get us up and running and functional.

The Logo has been very creatively designed by Sue Burr  at the request of veterinarians that it includes a depiction of both domestic animals and wildlife. The zebra depicts the wildlife component as well as the equine population of the country. The Bovine depicts the livestock of Zimbabwe and the dog depicts the domestic animal population of the country.
